Nice to see y'all coming back. I've been a bad person and not kept in touch with you all, oops.

I moved on the weekend, still living with my parents but I think the move was a sign that they want me outta there since my room is the size of a shoebox now. Pfft. But I'm too poor, I want to save more before I move out.

I never realised how many clothes, shoes and bags and purses I had til I was packing up my stuff into boxes. It was disgraceful! I even had things that I had bought but haven't even worn yet from like 2 years ago! I think I should donate them to charity.

Time for Nike to share again...(Let's hope blogger doesn't fall apart this time)

Ignore all typographical, grammatical, and spelling errors in this post. (Too lazy to reread)

I have nothing to do...and I wanted to post this somewhere...and this was the only place I could think of...so feel free to read it if ya like.:)

I've been trying to get into USC for past few years...and A few weeks ago I was accepted.(As some of you know)...and..

I went to a Transfer Orientation thing at USC on Monday. Woke up at 5am and had to be there at 7. I stood in line for about half an hour, checked-in, drooled at the pretty gals, picked a name tag (which I didn't wear at all..if you wanna know my name...Ask me;) ) and a bunch of stuff to carry around all day (catalogue, schedule of classes, free pen, etc). They made us wait in this grassy-park area while they took groups of 15-20 people on a campus tour. They had some free "breakfast" set up. Bread, OJ, and tea/coffee does not not equal breakfast. They said they ordered donuts...but it never arrived. Anyway...While waiting for my tour I had already developed my first two major impressions of the school:

1. There were so many many many beautiful, cute, and just plain drool-worthy girls at this school. (I assumed they were smart too.)
2.This place is HUGE. It felt like a small town. I saw at least two large water fountains...numerous park areas, and a bunch of extremely large buildings. The map was useless too...everything was abbreviated with the names of the building...but the building were named after the ppl who donated $$ and had nothing to do with the buildings...uh..PITA.

Next, they took us to this boring/cheesy/waste of my not-so-valuable time presentation about how great and fantastic the school was. We get the point...you guys are proud to be almighty Trojans.

We were then split up by major/course of study...and taken to separate rooms where they attempted to brainwash us:P. There were about 10 ppl in my group. Then some senior told us about the school procedures and stuff. The one thing that stood out was their numerous attempts to reassure the students that the school was safe.lol Ya see...USC is located in one of the many slummy locations of Los Angeles...Even though the campus is really nice and like a town within a town..it's still in an unsafe place. We were told that there were almost 200 "Blue light booths" which have emergency buttons...security or police would arrive within 90 seconds of pressing the button...Would that really be neccessary if the school were so safe? Oh..and there is a bar on campus.

Then they took us to a fancy auditorium with a bunch of round tables with silverware and such...and had wannabe buffet set-up as we entered the place. Cheap salad, hard bread, watery butter, mass-produced mashed potatoes, a grey triangular boiled piece of disgusting chicken, and some dessert.

I skipped the lunch. But sat at one of the round tables hoping someone half decent or interesting would join....I was wrong. A couple....mom-dad-daughter...and mom-son sat at my table. Just my luck...the two old moms sat on either side of me. (Please shoot me). The parents discussed stuff amongst each other...showed off about their great jobs and "super talented" children...and I just sat there with my mouth shut.:)

I decided to skip the rest of "lunch".

I left the lunch gathering and decided to take a stroll around campus....got lost...saw many nice young ladies...asked for directions back to the food place (looking like a complete dork while doing so)..and returned to the drone food place. I stood outside the food place....and then they brought this really loud and annoying marching band. Too loud for me. Not to mention they sucked. And while the majority of guests seemed to have thought this event, music, and food was the best thing since Katie in "The Gift"....I was urging to let out a few smart ass comments. But I didn't.

And then we were sent to our advisors to do our academic planning stuff. This is when I (as well as many others) got pis*ed. Almost ALL of the classes were already full/closed. WTF? Basically, we had to take a bunch of crappy and nonsense courses. Not to mention we (10ppl) sat in this little hot conference room while they took us two at a time to "advise" us(about 2hrs of wating since there was only ONE persone there for our department). They told us to plan out our schedule....even though we had no clue which classes were still open.:sigh: But I consider myself lucky compared to many of the students there who had planned to get on-campus housing. But the school had failed to mention that all housing was FULL. So many of these students (Many out-of-state) had no place to freakin' live. They had to find local apartments...and like I said..this is one of the worst places in Los Angeles. The apartments are all slummy..and unsafe.

Anyway..I'll skip the academic part....at 5pm I headed home in great Los Angeles rush hour downtown freeway traffic.

Overall...If I'm gonna end up giving them 30k a year..they should have provided me with a MUCH better orientation. I want my ~$150 orientation fee back.

After much thought (And against most ppls suggestions)....I think I'm going to bust a "Dawson" and not go to USC afterall. (Because of aspects not related to the orientation)

To make a long story short (too late :hehe: )

Pros:
Beautiful Girls
One heck of a campus. (They had a freakin soundstage for producing films on the campus, cool old/large buildings, and cool bookstore)
Cute Gals

Cons:
Annoying people
Full of academic-transfer-related hassle.
Wouldn't be in the School of Cinema anyway
1 hour drive, one-way. Full of traffic.
Would end up having to sell car to pay for my second year of attendance

That's pretty much it.:look: Just needed to get it out of my system. Sorry if I bored you to a whole new level.

Feel free to comment..

*And congrats to Eli on her recent accomplishment!:)

:Hopeshedoesthisrightthefirsttime:

I had so much fun today (so far)! I've spent most of the day driving around L.A. in one of those new Yellow Mini Coopers. Totally kicks rear extremeties. Windows and sunroof all the way open...music semi-loud...Curvaceous and twisty roads like Mulholland and Sunset...Shifting through the gears...No traffic.. It felt like I was in a freakin' commercial.

Too bad I have to give the car back in about a month.

Yeah..I've never posted here before. But I'm just in such a "jolly" mood.

So who wants to bet that no one will post a comment about this post?;)
